missourinetLOCAL NEWS:

The Dent County Sheriff’s office released two reports for Friday, November 25th. That Friday afternoon at 5:47, deputies located 35-year old Tara Warren of Salem, who had an active felony arrest warrant. Warren fled on foot for about 100 yards, but deputies were able to catch her. A search of Warren yielded two baggies that contained approximately three grams combined of a crystal substance which field tested positive for methamphetamine. Warren was incarcerated in the Dent County jail without incident on the capias felony warrant and a probable cause statement was sent to the Dent County Prosecuting Attorney seeking an additional charge for Possession of a Controlled Substance. Also on Friday November 25th, the Sheriff’s Office took a report of suspicious vehicles in the 200 block of Dent County Road 2480. Deputies responded and made contact with several subjects. Initially, one subject provided deputies with a false name and social security number. When the false pedigree information was discovered, 28-year old Zachary W. Holt of Licking, reluctantly provided his actual pedigree information. A computer check revealed that Holt had three active warrants through Texas County. Holt was removed from the vehicle and his person was searched. During the course of the search a black zipper pouch was discovered. The pouch contained three spoons and several empty plastic baggies and a syringe. Each of the three spoons had visible residue. A field test of one spoon showed a positive presence of methamphetamine. Holt was transported to the Dent County Jail and incarcerated without incident. A Probable Cause statement was submitted to the Dent County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for Possession of a Controlled Substance. These charges indicated are just accusations, and is not evidence of guilt. Evidence in support of any charge must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty is to determine guilt or innocence.

This winter, co-op members get the credit as Intercounty Electric Co-op returns over one million dollars to members in the form of capital credits. This return of capital will go to members who had electric service in 1995 and/or 1998. To better understand what capital credits are, it is important to know that an electric cooperative operates on an act-cost basis. Cooperatives annually “allocate” operating revenue remaining at the end of the year to each member, based upon the member’s total purchase of electricity. Later as the financial condition permits, these allocated amounts, capital credits, are retired. Capital credits represent the most significant source of equity for Intercounty. Since a cooperative’s members are also the people the co-op serves, capital credits reflect each member’s ownership in, and contribution of capital to, the cooperative. If you have any questions about your capital credits, please contact member accounts by calling (866) 621-3679.

North Carolina Central (4-2), a member of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference, never trailed and led 24-20 at halftime. The Eagles seemed to stymie any momentum Missouri could muster over the course of its stagnant offensive performance. It was the Tigers' lowest scoring output since losing to then-No. 13 Arizona on December 13th, 2015. Terrence Phillips led Missouri (3-3) with 17 points despite playing only 21 minutes due to foul trouble. The Tigers made 17 of 68 field-goal attempts, shooting 17.1 percent in the first half. Missouri will face Western Kentucky this Saturday afternoon at 1:30 on KSMO Radio.
