A couple from Dent County living on Highway 19 north have been arrested and each charged with a Class B felony for the possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute and Class D felony possession of drug paraphernalia with the intent to manufacture or produce it. According to Case.Net, 38-year old Jason Shaw and 34-year old Lisa Shaw have been arrested and are incarcerated in the Crawford County Jail. Both are being held on a $12,000 bond or professional surety. According to the Crawford County Sheriff's Department, the arrest was made as the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the Lake Area Narcotics Enforcement Group and the Crawford County Sheriff's Department were looking for Dusty Brooks from Cherryville on July 16th, and discovered a meth lab in the home of a couple from Dent County living on Highway 19 after consent to search the home by the Shaws for Brooks. Officers located items used in the production of methamphetamine located on a dresser in the couple’s bedroom in plain site. A further search was granted where officers found an array of items containing meth or used to produce it.

On July 10th, the Phelps County Sheriff's Department issued an Endangered Person Advisory for 13-year old Johnathan Shay of St. James and 11-year old Xavier Baylor who went missing on July 9th at about 7:30 from their great-grandmothers house. Baylor was found the next day by authorities. According to Phelps County Sheriff Rick Lisenbe, the last search for Jonathan Shay was Monday along the Dry Fork Creek where authorities found Xavier Baylor separated from his cousin on July 10th. Lisenbe describes the search for Jonathan as frustrating, because he's run away before and knows the area, plus the excessive heat and rugged terrain are making it difficult for searchers. According to his family, Shay has autism and needs to take medications daily and he has now been without them for 20 days. Lisenbe says searchers will continue their efforts to find the boy. It is hoped the moderating weather this weekend will produce results.

Jay Bruce homered in the second to back Anthony DeSclafani's seven innings of three-hit ball, and the Cincinnati Reds shut out the St. Louis Cardinals for the second straight night 1-0. Outfielder Matt Holliday left the game with a right quad strain after pulling up lame running to first on a double play that ended the first inning. It is the same injury that sidelined Holliday for 31 games earlier this season. The Cardinals have been shut out for 22 straight innings and have scored in just one of the past 30 innings. The Cardinals start a 4 game series against Colorado. The first game is tonight at 5:20 on KSMO Radio.

Corey Kluber took a shutout into the ninth, rookie Francisco Lindor hit a three-run homer and had a career-high four RBIs, and the Cleveland Indians avoided a winless home stand with a 12-1 victory over the Kansas City Royals on Wednesday. Kansas City starter Jeremy Guthrie allowed three home runs - all in the sixth inning - and hit three batters. Alex Rios' RBI groundout in the ninth scored the Royals' only run. The Royals, who had won 16 of 21, had beaten Kluber three times this season. Danny Duffy, who is 2-1 with a 2.15 ERA in six starts since returning from a biceps injury, takes the mound Thursday to open a four-game series in Toronto.

The Royals made another big addition for the season's stretch run on Tuesday, acquiring the versatile Ben Zobrist and nearly $2.6 million from the Oakland Athletics for right-hander Aaron Brooks and minor league left-hander Sean Manaea. The 34-year-old Zobrist, an infielder and outfielder, batted .268 with six home runs and 33 RBIs in 67 games for the A's, who are in last place in the AL West after three straight playoff seasons.
