The Dent County Commissioners met Monday morning for their regular meeting. In the road report, District 1 Commissioner Dennis Purcell said grading would be done on Dent County Roads 5170 and 5610 while brush would be cut on county road 5600. The plan is to do chip and seal single overlay on existing selected chip and seal roads the last week of July. There are no new roads to be chip and sealed this year. In District 2, Commissioner Gary Larson indicated materials would be added and grading done on Dent County Road 5300, while grading only would be done on county road 2020. He said brush would be cut on Dent County Road 3210. Larson stated a man went to Springfield to retrieve oil for the Dura-Patcher to do chip and seal repair, and he would also have a man hauling granite chips for the chip and seal projects in July. Presiding Commissioner Darrell Skiles said he and Commissioner Larson would be attending the Solid Waste Management District Full Council meeting this morning at 10:00 at the MRPC Building in St. James.
