In the road report District One Commissioner Dennis Purcell reported that Montauk had 1.93 inches of rainfall Wednesday through Thursday and that the Bunker area received a similar amount. He stated that crews were checking roadways for washouts and cleaning out culverts, plus planning to patch chip and seal after the weather cleared. Purcell said that two men were performing major service on grader #26 and brush was being cut on Dent County Road 5615. Purcell reported that he had been contacted by a citizen who had received correspondence notice of mortgage credit services and it stated that if the recipient wanted to opt out they needed to call. Upon making the call to the number supplied the first question asked by the company representative was for their social security number. The resident did not supply the information and Purcell provided them the Attorney General Consumer Protection Department phone number, which is (573)751-7007. District Two Commissioner Gary Larson reported that his crews were also checking for washouts and cleaning culverts, plus stockpiling materials at the Road and Bridge Department. Larson went on to say that his crew would possibly be hauling rock to the White River Trace area as part of the contract with MDC. Presiding Commissioner Darrell Skiles reported that all three commissioners attended the “Feels Like Home” Tour Tuesday and Wednesday he attended the Missouri County Commissioners Board meeting in Jefferson City.
