Dominik Hasek led the way with 24 saves and the Detroit Red Wings spoiled the retirement of Brett Hull's number with a 5-1 victory over the Blues in the opener of a Central Division home-and-home set at Scottrade Center.  Henrik Zetterberg, Pavel Datsyuk, Valtteri Filppula, Robert Lang and Dan Cleary scored for the Red Wings, who have won three of their last four games following an 0-2-3 skid. Hull, who finished his brilliant 19-year NHL career in third place on the all- time goal scoring list with 741, was introduced and enjoyed a lengthy standing ovation. Blues goaltender Manny Legace struggled and was pulled in the first period in favor of Jason Bacashihua, who was recently recalled from AHL affiliate Peoria. Bacashihua made 18 saves.
