The opening of Fall Firearms Deer Season begins Saturday and will last through November 23rd. With the lack of moisture, warmer temperatures and with the acorn availability for deer this year has been way down in the northern part of the state, the Missouri Department of Conservation says that they expect the statewide kill to be down this year from last year. The deer population in this area is excellent as acorns in the southern part of the state has been very good and hunters should have ample opportunity to get a deer. If you have any questions about deer hunting or need more information, pick up a 2010 Fall Deer and Turkey Hunting Regulations and Information Booklet. They are available where hunting permits are sold.
