In an election where 6,964 votes were cast which make up over 72% of registered voters, a number of changes will take place in state and local government. Here are the unofficial election results and all precincts in all races are reported:

Sheriff Rick Stallings and Circuit Judge for Circuit 42, Division 2 Kelly Parker were both elected as they were unopposed in the election.
The Salem Police Department released their reports for last Thursday and Friday. On October 30th at 1:00 am, a vehicle was stopped for a traffic violation. The investigation of the stop revealed that the vehicle was stolen from Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg. The owner of the vehicle is from Paola, Kansas. Taken into custody was an 18-year old man from Olathe, Kansas for possession of the stolen vehicle. The subject was incarcerated pending the issuance of a warrant. At 10:40 pm, that night, an officer contacted a subject in the area of 500 South Highway 19 in reference to a warrant. A 30-year old Salem man was arrested on a misdemeanor warrant from Phelps County. He was incarcerated pending extradition to Phelps County. On October 31st at 12:45 in the morning, a vehicle was stopped for a traffic violation. The investigation of the stop led to the arrest of a 20-year old man from Old Monroe for possession of drug paraphernalia. He was issued a summons to appear in court and released bond. At 2:35 in the morning, a vehicle was stopped for a traffic violation. The investigation of the stop led to the arrest of a 47-year old female from House Springs for possession of marijuana. Also arrested was a 53-year old St. Louis female for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Both women were issued a summons to appear in court and released on bond. On October 31st at 10:45 in the morning, an officer was detailed to Wal-Mart in reference to a shoplifter. The investigation of the report led to the arrest of a 21-year old Jadwin woman for shoplifting. She was issued a summons to appear in court and released. At 7:42 in the evening, a vehicle was stopped for a traffic violation. The investigation of the stop led to the arrest of an 18-year old male from Glen Carbon, Illinois for possession of drug paraphernalia. He was issued a summons to appear in court and released on bond.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol wants to remind Missouri’s motorists to turn on their headlights when they use their windshield wipers. Missouri law requires lighted lamps any time weather conditions require use of the motor vehicle’s windshield wipers to operate safely. A rainy day can result in decreased visibility. Your headlights will help other drivers see you. In addition, motorists are required to use their headlights during periods of fog, regardless of wiper use. It’s better to be seen than to be in a traffic crash. Be safe. Be seen. Turn on those headlights!

The Salem Football Tigers will open their first playoff season since 2002 as they will face the Fulton Hornets tonight at 7:00 in Fulton. Each team enters the game with an 8-2 record. The St. Louis Blues start a five game road trip tonight as they will visit the Anaheim Ducks at the Pond starting at 9:00. You can hear the game on KSMO after Salem Tiger Football.
St. Louis Rams head coach Jim Haslett announced on Monday that wide receivers Drew Bennett and Dante Hall will both be placed on injured reserve soon, ending their seasons. Bennett has yet to recover from breaking a bone in his right foot in the season-opener, and Hall suffered a high ankle sprain in Sunday's 34-13 loss to the Arizona Cardinals.
St. Louis Rams have signed running back Samkon Gado; signed linebacker David Vobora, running back Darius Walker and linebacker Kelly Poppinga to the practice squad; and they released safety David Roach and fullback Russ Weil from the practice squad.

Funeral services for Lonnie Sullins of Licking, age 64, will be held this morning at 11:00 at the Fox Chapel in Licking. Interment will be in the Craddock Cemetery.
Funeral services for Mary E. Chrisco of St. James, age 85, will be held at 10:00 Thursday morning at the James & Gahr Mortuary in St. James. Visitation will be tonight from 6:00 to 8:00. Interment will be in the Stone Hill Cemetery in Dent County. Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Funeral services for Paul S. Pace of Granite City, Illinois, age 78, will be held Sunday at 2:00 at the James & Gahr Mortuary in Salem. Visitation will be Saturday from 4:00 to 7:00. Interment will be in the Warden Cemetery.
