The Salem Lady Volleyball Tigers moved to 4-2 in the SCA as they defeated the Mountain View-Liberty Lady Eagles in two straight games, 25-23 and 25-22. The Lady Tigers will participate in the Ozark Grand Slam this Saturday before finishing out their regular season next Tuesday night against Mountain Grove.
The Salem Lady Volleyball Tigers are seeded 4th in District play as they will face the St. Clair Lady Bulldogs on Monday, October 25th at 5:00 at Owensville. The winner of that match will face the top seeded St. Francis Borgia Lady Knights on Tuesday, October 26th also at 5:00 at Owensville.
The Salem Football Tigers will travel to Owensville tonight to face the Dutchmen starting at 7:00. Salem enters the game with a 5-2 record and Owensville is 6-1 on the year. You can hear the game on KSMO radio and on ksmoradio.com starting at 6:30 with Tiger Talk and Coach Bill Schuchardt.
Derek McClain caught a 73-yard touchdown pass with 1:30 seconds left in the game and Dylan Wisdom added the two point conversion to give the 7th grade football Tigers a 16-12 win over West Plains on Thursday night. Wisdom also added an 11-yard run and a two-point conversion in the 2nd quarter. They finished the season 4-0-1.
West Plains had an 8-0 lead at halftime and never looked back, beating the 8th grade football Tigers, 24-6. Paul McClain caught a 12-yard pass from Nate Stallings for Salem's only score in the fourth quarter. The 8th grade finished the season with a 2-3 record.
The Missouri Football Tigers will face Texas A & M Saturday morning starting at 11:00. Missouri enters the game with a 5-0 record. You can hear the game on KSMO Radio.
Steve Sullivan netted two goals to help the Nashville Predators beat the St. Louis Blues, 4-3, at Bridgestone Arena. T.J. Oshie, Patrik Berglund and Matt D'Agostini each had a goal for St. Louis, which posted home wins over Philadelphia and Anaheim to begin the season. Jaroslav Halak was beaten four times on 22 shots. The Blues remain on the road as they will travel to Dallas to face the Stars Saturday night at 7:00. You can hear the game on KSMO Radio.
