Mayor Gary Brown wanted to remind everyone that Fall Clean-up Week is currently going on now through Friday on your regular pickup date. Police Chief Keith Steelman recommended that Halloween Trick or Treat hours be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM within the city of Salem and the board approved the recommendation. Mayor Brown then discussed having an electric rate study for the city and the board agreed that a request for qualifications from firms would need to be done. After the bills were approved, the board went into closed session.
