The Salem Board of Aldermen held their regular meeting at the City Hall Council Chambers Monday night. Alderman Giacomelli was not present at the meeting. In bids, City Administrator Clayton Lucas presented three asphalt bids at a per ton price for the estimated 1,734 tons needed for the paving of Walker, Hickory, Warfel and Jack Streets and possibly Third Street. The lowest bid came from Rolla Asphalt, LLC for $76.16 per ton and the final cost if all the asphalt was used would be $132,061.44.
