The Dent County Sheriff’s Department released their reports involving burglaries. A Dent County Sheriff’s deputy received information on August 26th while investigating a stolen ATV, which was recovered from an earlier reported theft. The information related to a burglary reported back in May of this year, which had occurred at the Meri-Lee Tack & Western Wear. Further investigation led to the arrest of an 18-year old male and a warrant was issued for burglary and stealing with bond set at $10,000. On August 31st at 4:15 in the afternoon, the Department received a report of a burglary, which occurred at a residence located off of Dent County Road 652. Taking a gate off its hinges and entering an outbuilding on the property was how entry was made. Taken from the building were three 5-gallon gas cans full of gasoline, one 5-gallon can of diesel, a Craftsman power washer, BBQ grill scraper and one case of Winchester 12-gauge shotgun shells. Anyone with any information regarding these incidents, which are still under investigation, is asked to contact the Dent County Sheriff’s Department by calling 729-3241.

The Cardinals and Pirates will play again this afternoon starting at 1:00. You can hear the game on KSMO Radio.

Hank Blalock went 2-for-3 and knocked in a pair of runs to lead the Texas Rangers past the Kansas City Royals, 3-2, in the rubber match of a three-game series.
