The Salem Police Department released their reports involving domestic disturbances and assault. On April 24th at 11:40 in the evening, an officer was sent to McDonald’s Restaurant in reference to a domestic disturbance. The report revealed that a 29-year old Salem male had assaulted a 21-year old Salem female. The report led to his arrest for 3rd degree domestic assault. He was incarcerated pending a warrant application. At 7:14 that evening, an officer was contacted at the station in reference to an assault. The report revealed that an unknown female had assaulted a 15-year old juvenile male. The report is still under investigation. On April 30th at 10:00 in the evening, an officer was dispatched to the 300 block of North Pershing in reference to a domestic disturbance. The report led to the arrest of a 26-year old Salem male for assault, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was incarcerated and issued summons to appear in court. On May 2nd at 3:29 in the morning, an officer was detailed to the 1800 block of South Oak in reference to a disturbance. The report led to the arrest of a 29-year old Salem male for disorderly conduct and a 30-year old Salem female for disorderly house. Both were issued summons to appear in court and released. On May 3rd at 12:39 in the morning, an officer was detailed to the 800 block of East Ellis in reference to a disturbance. The report led to the arrest of a 20-year old male and a 19-year old male, both of Salem for disorderly house. Both were issued a summons to appear in court and released.

The Dent County Sheriff’s Department released their reports involving a DWI, possession of marijuana, a traffic stop and domestic assault. On April 30th at 9:49 in the evening, the department received a report of a suspicious vehicle parked near a residence off of Dent County Road 4285. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of a 40-year old male who was charged with a DWI and operating a motor vehicle while in an intoxicated condition. On May 2nd at 5:41 in the afternoon, the department responded to a residence located off of Dent County Road 6250 in regards to a check the well-being of the resident. Upon arriving at the residence, the investigation led to the arrest of a 22-year old male who was cited for possession of 36 grams or less of marijuana and paraphernalia use or possession to use. On May 4th at 4:36 in the afternoon, while on routine patrol, a deputy observed a vehicle on Dent County Road 4110 commit a traffic violation. Upon stopping the vehicle and further investigation, a 30-year old male was cited for failure to signal when passing, operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, failure to register a motor vehicle annually with the Missouri Department of Revenue and failure to maintain financial responsibility. On May 4th at 7:05 in the evening, the department received a report of a domestic dispute located at a residence off of Dent County Road 3260. A Deputy responded to the residence and was assisted by the Missouri State Highway Patrol. Investigation determined that a 36-year old female had been assaulted which led to the arrest 30-year old Charles Coleman for domestic assault in the 3rd degree. A cash or surety bond was set at $1,000. Anyone with any information regarding these incidents is asked to contact the Dent County Sheriff’s Department by calling 729-3241.

The Salem Tigers Baseball game with Iberia Thursday was cancelled due to the weather and will not be made up. The Tigers will face Union tomorrow morning at 9:00 in the first round of district play at Sullivan. The cost to enter the game is $3.00. The Salem High School “S” Club will be sponsoring a powder puff flag football game tonight starting at 6:00 at the practice football field. The sophomores will face the juniors with the winners playing the seniors. There is no admission charge!

Garrett Atkins and Chris Iannetta each drove in a pair of runs as Colorado salvaged a split with a 9-3 win over St. Louis in the finale of a four-game set from Coors Field. Ryan Ludwick homered twice and Yadier Molina added an RBI for the Cardinals, who dropped the final two games of the set. St. Louis hurler Kyle Lohse (3-2) was tagged in the loss for eight hits and seven runs with five walks and four strikeouts in four innings of work. The Cardinals head to Milwaukee to begin a four-game set starting tonight at 6:55 with afternoon games on Saturday and Sunday. You can hear all the games on KSMO Radio.

The St. Louis Cardinals announced Wednesday that pitcher Mark Mulder has been diagnosed with a mild rotator cuff strain in his left shoulder, and that he will take a week to 10 days off from his rehabilitation assignment.

Nick Markakis homered and drove in three runs, as Baltimore downed Kansas City, 4-1, at Kauffman Stadium. Luke Hochevar (2-2) gave up four runs on five hits with five strikeouts and two walks. Tony Pena, Jr. drove in the only run for the Royals, who have dropped three of their last four games. The Royals and Orioles play the rest of the weekend.

Funeral services for Mildred Booker of Steelville will be held today at 1:00 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville. Interment will be in the Steelville Cemetery.

Funeral services for Olga E. Haas of Rolla, age 86, will be held Saturday morning at 10:00 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Rolla. Visitation will be tonight from 6:00 to 8:00 at Null & Son Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Peace Lutheran Cemetery in rural Phelps County. Memorials may be made to the Immanuel Lutheran School.

Funeral services for Alma Lee Craft Hanks of Tebbetts Mo. formerly of St. James, age 64, will be held Saturday morning at 11:00 at the James & Gahr Chapel in St. James. Visitation will be tonight from 5:00 to 8:00. Interment will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Steelville. Memorials may be made to the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

Memorial services for Douglas Maus of St. James, age 69, will be held at Saturday 1:00 at the St. James VFW Post #5608 in St. James. Visitation will begin at noon Saturday. Full military honors will be held at the memorial service. All arrangements are under the direction of the James and Gahr Mortuary of St. James.

Funeral services for Will Jay Clark of Salem, age 85, will be held Monday afternoon at 1:00 at the Wilson Mortuary. Visitation will also be Monday from 11:00 until time of service. Interment will be in the Missouri Veterans Home Cemetery in St. James. Memorials may be made to the Show Me Hope Center or the Missouri Veterans Home.

Funeral services for Lorine W. Tyree of Salem, age 89, will be held Monday at 1:00 at the James & Gahr Mortuary in Salem. Visitation will be from 11:00 until service time. Interment will be in the Cedar Grove Cemetery.

Funeral services for Rodney D. Grouns of St. James, age 74, will be held Tuesday at 11:00 at the James and Gahr Chapel in St. James. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 Monday evening. Interment will be in the St. James Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Rolla Area Youth Baseball and Softball Association.

Funeral services for Clara Mae Wisdom of Steelville, age 76, will be held Tuesday at 1:00 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville. Visiation will be Monday from 4:00 to 8:00. Interment will be it the Crossville Cemetery in Bunker.
