Prince Fielder singled in two runs as the Milwaukee Brewers finished a three-game sweep of the St. Louis Cardinals at home for the first time in almost 10 years with a 4-0 shutout at Miller Park. Milwaukee last recorded a three-game home sweep of the Cardinals on June 16-18, 1997. They did, however, take every contest of a four-game series in 2002. Albert Pujols ended 3-for-4 for the Cardinals, who have dropped five straight and three in a row since the tragic death of relief pitcher Josh Hancock early Sunday morning. Anthony Reyes (0-5) allowed four runs - three earned on three hits with eight strikeouts and four walks in six innings for the Cards. The Cardinals will have the day off today and will be attending a Memorial Service for Josh Hancock in Mississippi.
Esteban German hit a three-run homer in the seventh and Jorge De La Rosa threw seven solid innings to lead the Kansas City Royals to a 3-1 win over the LA Angels of Anaheim in the middle portion of a three-game set at Kauffman Stadium. De La Rosa (3-2) allowed just one run on five hits, while walking one and striking out two. Joakim Soria pitched the ninth for his fourth save in four chances for the Royals, who snapped a three game losing streak. German's home run was his first of the season and fourth in 445 career at- bats. Reggie Sanders left the game in the sixth with a tight left hamstring after getting a double. The Royals and Angels conclude their series today at Kaufmann Stadium.

A Memorial Mass for Robert Vernon Krause of Salem, age 59, will be held Friday morning at 10:00 at the St. Patrick Catholic Church in Rolla. Memorials are suggested to St. Patrick Catholic Church Music Ministry or Assumption Abby in Ava. All arrangements are under the direction of the James & Gahr Mortuary of Rolla.
Funeral services for Jane A. Hanna of St. James, age 88, will be held Friday morning at 11:00 at the James and Gahr Chapel in St. James. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 tonight. Interment will be in the St. James Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Missouri Chapter of the American Heart Association.
Funeral services for Wayne Allen Ragan of Salem, age 44, are incomplete at this time, but are under the direction of the Dent County Memorial Chapel.
