The Salem Baseball tigers Tournament scheduled for this past weekend was rained out. They will attempt to schedule the tournament at a later date. The Tigers will face SCA foe Mountain Grove today starting at 4:30 at the Salem High School Baseball Complex. You can hear that game on KSMO Radio and online at www.ksmoradio.com. Salem enters the game with a 7-2 record and 3-0 in the SCA.
The Salem Golf Team will be at Potosi this morning at 8:00 while the Salem Tennis Team will be hosting the Mountain View Liberty Eagles at 4:00. The Salem Track Teams will be in action today at Steelville starting at 3:30.
Albert Pujols belted a pair of homers and drove in five runs, as St. Louis hammered Milwaukee, 10-2. Braden Looper (2-1) got the win by giving up just five hits and two runs in six innings. Ryan Franklin, Brad Thompson and Randy Flores each tossed one shutout inning of relief. Chris Duncan added a career-high four hits, including his third homer of the season, and a pair of runs scored for the Cardinals, who won at home for the first time in five games this season. Adam Kennedy and Yadier Molina had two hits apiece, and Preston Wilson scored three times. The Cardinals will host Pittsburgh for a two-game set starting tonight at 7:00 after Salem Baseball.
Sunday's game between the Kansas City Royals and the Baltimore Orioles was postponed due to heavy rain. No makeup date was immediately scheduled. The Royals will be at Detroit tonight.

Kansas City Chiefs guard Will Shields announced his retirement from the NFL on Sunday. The 35-year-old Shields missed just one game over his career, and that was during his rookie campaign in 1993 with the Chiefs.
