The Salem Golf Team will host the Salem Open today, weather permitting, at 4:00 at the Spring Creek Golf Club. The Salem Track Teams are scheduled to be at Cuba today starting at 3:30, while the Salem Tennis team is scheduled to open their season today at Houston starting at 4:00.
The St. Louis Cardinals game with their Springfield affiliate scheduled for tonight has been cancelled due to wet conditions.
John Buck had a two-run double as part of a four-run third inning, as the Florida Marlins earned a 4-1 win over the St. Louis Cardinals in Grapefruit League action. Tyler Henley accounted for the only St. Louis offense with a run-scoring single. Jake Westbrook was tagged with the loss for yielding four runs on 11 hits with a pair of walks over 4 1/3 frames.
Starting pitcher Kyle Davies worked six scoreless innings, allowing just three hits and striking out six, as the Kansas City Royals downed the Milwaukee Brewers, 10-0, in spring training. The Royals collected 17 hits including home runs from Kila Ka'aihue, Alex Gordon, Alcides Escobar and Jeff Francoeur.

The FINAL City of Salem Summer Youth Baseball- Softball-T-Ball sign-ups will be held on Thursday, March 31st and Friday, April 1st in the front lobby of the Salem Freedom Activity Center located on West Rolla Road from 4:00 to 6:00 pm.
