The Dent County Commissioners met Monday morning at the Dent County Courthouse and the newly appointed prosecutor for Dent County, Sid Pearson, introduced himself to the county commissioners. Ken Fiebelman then discussed the road to the Walker Cemetery and that it needs some work. District 2 Commissioner Gary Larson said fixing the road up to the small creek bridge is not a problem, it is after the bridge that is the problem and that is where most of the work is needed. Larson stated that he doesn’t think that the county can get their dump trucks and backhoe across the small concrete bridge on the road without damaging the bridge. He will go by and check it out. In the road report, District 1 Commissioner Dennis Purcell said that grading is going to be done on Dent County Roads 2400, 2410, 2430 and 6370, but one grader is broken down. He also said that rock will be added to Dent County Road 2440, and brush is going to be cut on Dent County Road 6510. He reported that a truck went to Springfield to get a load of oil for chip and seal repair in District 1. In District 2, Larson stated that grading is going to be done on Dent County Roads 2590, 3170 and 5240, while rock will be hauled to Dent County Roads 2630, 4050 and 4480.
