Daniel Sedin tipped in the winning goal on the power play, 1:09 into overtime, as the Canucks topped St. Louis, 3-2, winning for the sixth time in eight games. Henrik Sedin and Trevor Linden both scored for the Canucks, who also received 20 saves from Roberto Luongo. Jamal Mayers and Petr Cajanek scored in the third period to rally the Blues, who have dropped three in a row and five of six. Curtis Sanford made 34 saves in a losing cause. St. Louis has just two wins in its last 11 visits to Vancouver, and the teams has lost four of its last five games, three of them in overtime. The Blues will be in Edmonton on Saturday to face the Oilers starting at 7:00.
Juan Pierre went 3-for-3 and also knocked in a run as the Los Angeles Dodgers edged the St. Louis Cardinals, 3-2, in Grapefruit League action. Tagg Bozied went 1-for-4 with an RBI, and Chris Duncan smacked a solo home run in the ninth for St. Louis. Returning from off-season hip surgery, Jason Isringhausen turned in a solid performance for the Cardinals. He allowed just two infield hits and one strikeout in a scoreless frame. Adam Wainwright came on in relief and worked five innings. He allowed two earned runs on seven hits with four strikeouts and no walks. The Cardinals will face the Atlanta Braves tomorrow and New York Mets of Sunday, and you can hear both games at 11:45 on KSMO.

Mike Sweeney had two hits and drove in three runs, as Kansas City edged the Giants, 7-6, in Cactus League play. Jason LaRue knocked in two runs, while Alex Gordon had three hits and scored twice for the Royals. Jorge De La Rosa allowed three hits and two runs through four innings for the Royals.
Spring Sports have arrived! The Salem Baseball Tigers will play Willow Springs at 4:00 on Monday in the SCA Pre-Season Tournament.
