Landowners can learn about the state's fence laws. Missouri continues to have a very complicated fence law, in large part due to the fact that two separate laws cover the state depending on the county that your land is in. Another problem is that both laws are subject to interpretation and can be a little different, depending on the county you’re in. A comparison of both laws will be given at this program. Joe Koenen, Agricultural Business Specialist with University of Missouri Extension will be presenting a program and he has been presenting programs on the fence law for over 15 years throughout the state. Landowners need to be aware of what the law is in their county and this meeting will help them better understand their rights and responsibilities. This University of Missouri Extension workshop’s purpose is educational. The workshop will be held at the Salem TCRC located in the Salem Freedom Activity Center on Monday, March 19th from 7 to 9:30 PM. The cost for this workshop is $5.00.  For questions or to register, please call 729-8163.
