The Eldon Mustangs survived a third quarter scare by the Salem Tigers after Salem rallied to close a 15-point gap to one point but never could take the lead, as Eldon went on to beat Salem, 70-55 in District play at Bolivar. Cody Whitaker made a lay-up four minutes into the 3rd quarter to bring Salem to within one point, but then Eldon promptly went on a 9-0 run to break the game open and Salem never recovered. Cody Whitaker led all Tigers with 18 points followed by Logan Pogue with 13 points. Salem finished the year with a 12-14 record.
Alexander Steen scored the game-winner 3:47 into the third period to make Ryan Miller's home debut a successful one, as the St. Louis Blues edged the Tampa Bay Lightning, 4-2, on Tuesday at Scottrade Center. St. Louis trailed 2-0 after a shaky first period from Miller, but the Blues battled back with goals from Patrik Berglund and T.J. Oshie in the second before Steen found the back of the net early in the third to give the home team their first and only lead of the game. Vladimir Tarasenko tacked on an empty-netter, while Miller made 15 saves to notch his second straight victory with St. Louis. The Blues will be in Nashville on Thursday to play the Predators.
The Missouri Tiger basketball team will host Texas A&M tonight at the Mizzou Arena. Missouri is 20-9 on the year and 8-8 in the SEC. You can hear the game on KSMO starting at 6:30.
The St. Louis Cardinals had the day off yesterday but will resume Spring Training action this afternoon when they play the Boston Red Sox at Roger Dean Stadium in Jupiter, FL. First pitch is set for 12:05.
Salvador Perez went 3-for-3 with a solo home run and three RBI in the Kansas City Royals' 9-5 spring training takedown of the Cincinnati Reds on Tuesday. The Royals will play the Arizona Diamondbacks this afternoon at 2:10.

Memorial service for Henry Lewis Volluz of St. James, age 57, will be held Saturday at 2:00 at the Landmark Baptist Church in Rolla. All arrangements are under the direction of the James and Gahr Mortuary in St. James.
