The Salem Lady Tigers 7th Grade Traveling Team coached by Brad Pryor and Sean Curley took 2nd Place at the Show Me State Games by winning 5 out of 6 games. Players consist of: Camryn Pryor, Payton Curley, Cheyenne Sercl, Kaleigh Nash, Allie Fleener, Kari Hatridge, Baylee Bilyeu and Alexis Goff. The Lady Tigers started their streak with a win over the Sikeston Lady Bulldogs by the score of 47-26 with Baylee Bilyeu scoring 16 points; and their second win saw them defeat Macon Trax, 43-21 with Kaleigh Nash tallying 13 of those points. The third win for the Lady Tigers came over Hoops Express by the score of 37-11 with Payton Curley and Kaleigh Nash each scoring 8 points in the win. The fourth Tigers victory came against the Mid-MO Shooters by a score of 54-17 as Camryn Pryor scored a total of 15 points. The Salem Lady Tigers then edged the Renegades by a score of 33-29 with Baylee Bilyeu finishing with 12 points. In the Championship game, the MO Lady Sting defeated the Lady Tigers, 39-11 with Payton Curley netting seven points during the game. Congratulations to the Salem Lady Tigers 7th Grade Traveling Team for taking 2nd Place at the Show Me State Games.
The 8th ranked Missouri Tiger basketball team will be hosting Iowa State tonight in their final home game of the year. Missouri is 25-4 on the year and you’ll be able to hear the game, starting with the pre-game show, at 6:30 on KSMO Radio.
The St. Louis Blues will be in Edmondton tonight to face the Oilers at 9:00. The Blues are 39-17-7 on the year and are two points behind Detroit for the lead in the Central Division. You’ll be able to hear the game on KSMO.

Funeral services for Tove L. Hughley of Salem, age 86, will be held this morning at 10:00 at the St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Rolla. Interment will be in the Boss Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Riverways Pregnancy Center of Salem or the Phelps County Regional Homecare of Rolla. All arrangements are under the direction of the James & Gahr Mortuary in Salem.
Memorial services for Vivian S. Standley of St. James, age 83, will be held Thursday at 6:00 pm at the Christ Community Church in St. James. Arrangements are under the direction of the James & Gahr Mortuary in St. James.
