The Salem Lady Basketball Tigers defeated the Owensville Dutchgiirls, 46-43 to win the districts. Natalie Howard and Kirsten Stephens each tallied 15 points while Allison Jones scopred 12 points. Salem is now 22-5 on the year and they will face the Lutheran South Lady Crusaders Wednesday night at 7:45 at Jefferson College in Hillsboro. The Salem Boys Basketball season came to an end in a hard fought battle with the Owensville Dutchmen with a 60-55 loss. The game was tied with a minute to go before Owensville took a two-point lead with 58 seconds left. On an inbound play, Salem had to retreat in their defensive end and a pass by C.J. Smith deflected off the backboard out of bounds allowing Owensville to in-bound the ball and score on free throws to seal the win. Salem was led in scoring by Taylor Sirois with 19 points and C.J. Smith with 17 points. Sirois also pulled down 15 rebounds for the Tiger who end their season with a 16-10 record.
The Missouri Tigers will travel to Nebraska to face the Cornhuskers in an attempt to each the .500-mark in the Big 12. Game time is set for 12:45 with the pre-game show starting at 12:15 on KSMO Radio. Missouri enters the game with a 17-9 record and 6-7 in the Big 12.
The St. Louis Blues will be in Chicago Sunday afternoon to face the Blackhawks starting at 2:00. You can hear the game on KSMO Radio. The Blues have won their last four straight games.
