The Salem Lady Basketball Tigers outscored Houston in the first half, 30-12, then held them scoreless in the third quarter en route to a 39-24 win. Salem was led in scoring by Kirsten Stephens with 16 points followed by Allison Jones with 10 points and 11 rebounds. Salem finished their regular season 19-5 and they will share the SCA Championship with the Houston Lady Tigers and Ava Lady Bears with a 6-1 SCA conference record. The Lady Tigers will have little time to rest as they will be at Owensville on Monday night against Union in district play. The Salem Boys Basketball Tigers will go for their second consecutive perfect SCA season tonight as they will host Houston at the Salem High School Gym. The JV action will start at 6:00 and following that game, the five seniors will be honored. They are Jordan Davis, Solomon Mc Neal, Matt Whitaker, Brad Lewis and Josh Hafner. The St. Louis Blues will be facing Nashville tonight at the Scottrade Center starting at 7:00. KSMO will air part of the first period, break away for Salem Tiger Basketball, then bring listeners the third period of the contest. The Blues have not beaten Nashville this year and have gone the last 15 games against them without a win. Then on Sunday, the Blues will host the Minnesota Wild starting at 5:00. You can also hear that game on KSMO. The Blues are currently nine points out of a playoff position.
The Missouri Tigers will face Oklahoma State Saturday afternoon starting at 12:00 on KSMO Radio. Missouri is 15-9 overall and 4-7 in the Big 12.
