The Salem Lady Basketball Tigers will try to end the regular season on a sweet note as they take on the Houston Lady Tigers tonight at the Salem High School Gymnasium. The Salem Lady Tigers come into the game with an 18-5 record overall and 5-1 in the SCA. Stefhon Hannah erupted for 25 points, leading the Missouri Tigers to a 78-71 win over the Baylor Bears in a Big 12 Conference clash from Mizzou Arena. Keon Lawrence poured in a career-high 24 points to go along with eight rebounds for the Tigers (15-9, 4-7 Big 12), while Marshall Brown tallied 10 points and eight boards. Missouri grabbed a 35-32 halftime lead after holding Baylor to 31.4 percent shooting from the floor in the opening 20 minutes. The Tigers started hot in the second stanza and built a 14-point lead with 14:55 to play. Forced to play catch-up, the Bears went just 2-of-13 from three-point range in the frame. Missouri will travel to Oklahoma State on Saturday with the game scheduled for 12:30 and the pre-game show at 12:00 noon.
David Backes scored twice, including the game-winner in the third period, to give the St. Louis Blues a 4-2 win over the Columbus Blue Jackets at Nationwide Arena. Bill Guerin and Dallas Drake each scored a goal while Manny Legace made 20 saves for the Blues, who had lost three of their last four coming into the game. The Blues have won three of five against the Blue Jackets this season, two of which were shootout victories. St. Louis returns home to face Nashville on Friday.
