According to reports received from the Dent County Sheriff’s Department, 33-year old Jeanetta M. Graham, 23-year old Brian L. Remster, and 23-year old Corey Landrigan, all of Bunker were arrested on Friday, January 28^th stemming from incidents on January 26^th and January 28^th. The three individuals made purchases of muriatic acid, lye, and multiple boxes of 24-hour Sudafed on Wednesday, January 26^th in Salem. All items are commonly used in the "shake and bake" method of manufacturing methamphetamine, according to a probable cause statement from the Dent County Sheriff's Office. The Dent County Sheriff’s Deputy investigation at the residence resulted in a baggie containing methamphetamine, glass smoking devices containing a white/crystal residue, Xanax for which Graham did not have prescription, and other items that field tested positive for methamphetamine. Graham has been charged with three felony counts of possession of a controlled substance except 35 grams of marijuana, one felony count of manufacturing with the intent to produce a controlled substance, one felony count of keeping or maintaining a public nuisance and one felony count of hindering prosecution of a felon. The hindering prosecution charges stem from an incident January 28^th when Graham tried to conceal Landrigan from law enforcement authorities. Graham is being held in the Dent County Jail with bond set at $20,000. Remster has been charged with one felony count of manufacturing or producing with the intent to distribute a controlled substance. He was incarcerated in the Dent County Jail with bond set at $15,000. Landergan was arrested at the residence, as he had a felony warrant and was a fugitive from justice for first degree assault on a law enforcement officer from Crawford County and had in his possession three firearms including: a Glenfield 22 rifle with a scope, a Remington 30-06 with a scope and Stevens 243-caliber with a scope, which were all loaded. Warrants for Landrigan have been requested.

An accident occurred on Saturday, February 5^th at 5:57 in the evening at the intersection of Highways 32 and 19 in Salem. According to the Salem Police report, a 2000 Chevrolet S-10 driven by John Barton of Salem was traveling south on Highway 19 and failed to stop at the red light, causing contact with a 2007 Chevrolet K-1500 driven by James Darden of Salem, who was traveling west on Highway 32. Barton was transported to the Salem Memorial District Hospital by ambulance, and Darden transported himself to the hospital for medical attention. Both vehicles sustained extensive damage, and the Chevrolet S-10 was removed from the scene by Whitaker’s Towing of Salem.        

The Salem Police Department released their report for the month of January. During the month, they wrote 13 equipment repair orders, 16 summons to appear in court, 17 warning tickets, and 18 traffic tickets. The Salem Police Department investigated eight accidents, three assaults, four burglaries, one report of disorderly conduct, three reports of domestic assaults, six reports of domestic violence, three reports of driving while having a license suspended, one report of endangering the welfare of a child, and one report of leaving the scene of an accident. The department also investigated one report of a lost or stolen plate, one report of resisting and/or interfering with an arrest, one report of statutory rape, eight reports of stealing, one report of tampering, two reports of trespassing, and four reports for a 96-hour commitment. They also investigated two reports of possession of drugs hallucinogen and one report of distributing/delivering or producing or manufacturing a controlled substance. The police department received 1,297 calls for service during the month, handled 90 walk-ins to the station, and redirected 53 calls to the animal control officer. They spent 20 hours in court testifying, three hours as court bailiff and spent 10 hours teaching D.A.R.E. The calls in January included 33 calls for escorts, two calls for an intoxicated driver, two calls for a suspicious person and/or vehicle, one intoxicated pedestrian call, six calls for domestic disputes, one call for a wrecker, six 911 calls, five calls for alarms sounding, six calls for fights in progress, eight ambulance assist calls, and three fire calls.  The Salem Police Department drove a total of 8,284 miles and arrested 20 males and 4 females during the month of January.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol has released their reports involving arrests made in Dent County this past week. On Saturday, February 5^th at 7:30 p.m., 43 year-old Jacqueline Johnson of Salem was arrested on a felony Dent County warrant for 2^nd degree arson. She was taken to the Dent County jail. On Monday, February 7^th at 2:20 p.m., 29 year-old Michael Stagner of Salem was arrested on a Crawford County felony warrant for drug possession. He was taken to the Dent County Jail. On Tuesday, February 8^th at 2:30 p.m., 25 year-old Justin Geistlinger of Salem was arrested and charged with violation of an order of protection. He was taken to the Dent County jail and released.
