Chad Elliot scored 29 points and had five steals in the game as the Salem Tigers thrashed the Willow Springs Bears, 70-43. Jacob Kettner added 15 points and 11 rebounds while Dustin Sercl netted a dozen more points for the Tigers who are now 7-11 on the year. Salem will face the Mountain Grove Panthers Friday night at 6:00 in the final game of the round robin McDonalds' Panther Classic.
The Salem Lady Basketball Tigers pulled out a win on the road in Cabool Tuesday afternoon in a makeup game due to adverse weather by the score of 43-25. Kaitlyn Wells led the Lady Tigers with 12 points as the Lady Tigers improve to 3-14 on the year and 1-2 in the SCA. The Lady Tigers will host Steelville Thursday night.
Chris Kunitz notched the winner in the fourth round of the shootout to send Pittsburgh past St. Louis, 3-2, at Scottrade Center. Patrik Berglund netted both goals for the Blues, who lost for just the third time in their last 10 games. The Blues are now off until next Friday night due to the All-Star break.
The 2nd ranked Missouri Tigers will be on the road tonight, as they’ll face Oklahoma State. Missouri is 18-1 on the year and you’ll be able to hear the game on KSMO starting with the pre-game show at 6:00.
