The Dent County Commissioners held their regular meeting at the Dent County Courthouse Monday morning.  At the meeting, Commissioners Bobby Simpson and J.J. Tune both reported that conditions are too wet for grading.  District 1 crews are checking roads for debris, checking low water crossings and catching up on routine maintenance. District 2 crews are also checking roads for debris. The district received a complaint about a dead bull on the Spring Creek Road and Commissioner Tune said that it would be removed immediately. Dent County Clerk Angie Curley reported that Sandy Hogan reappointed Senate Bill 40 members: James Coffman, Mike Bell and Mary McFarland.  Bill Hobson stopped by the meeting to request that gravel be hauled to Dent County Road 221 and Pat Hanson requested that gravel be hauled to Dent County Road 315. Members of the Jadwin Fire Department attended the meeting to get an update on where the county stood on E-911.  Commissioner Tune explained that funding for E-911 addressing the county is not yet available, but the Commission continues to look for other possible funding options. Commissioner Simpson said that when funding does become available it would take a vote of the people to allow all Dent County telephone prefixes to be E-911 compatible. The next meeting of the Commissioners will be Thursday morning at 9:00 and the meeting is open to the public
